Charlie Lindgren stopped 22 of 27 shots for the Canadiens, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Toronto went 0-for-3, while the Canadiens were 0-for-1 with the man advantage.

Montreal outshot Toronto 33-31 in the game.

Toronto looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Coyotes. The Canadiens will aim to get back on the winning track at Dallas.
