NIU Defeats Eastern Michigan 27-20 - Recap

Antario Brown tore up the turf for 101 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Huskies to a 27-20 win over the Eagles at Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium.

NIU won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +0.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 63.0.

Antario Brown rushed for 101 yards, while Harrison Waylee added 87 yards in the win. Tyrice Richie and Clint Ratkovich added 42 and 22 receiving yards respectively.

DJ Smith rushed for 26 yards for Eastern Michigan, while Darius Boone Jr. added 19 yards. Ben Bryant threw for 338 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Hassan Beydoun and Darius Boone Jr. had 167 and 45 yards respectively.

NIU lost the offensive yardage battle to Eastern Michigan 376-326 yards in Saturday's game. NIU had more first downs as that total ended up 24-20.

The time of possession battle favored NIU as their offense was on the field for 35:47, longer than the 24:13 of their opponents.

NIU heads into a Week 6 battle against Toledo. Eastern Michigan, meanwhile, will have their next action against Miami-OH.
