Boise State Falls 36-31 to Knights - Recap

Dillon Gabriel threw for 318 yards to lead the Knights over Boise State 36-31 on Thursday in Week 1 action at Bounce House.

UCF won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -6.0-point spread. The game went PUSH the consensus closing total of 67.0.

Dillon Gabriel completed 25 of 37 pass attempts for 318 yards for the Knights in the win.

Andrew Van Buren rushed for 26 yards for Boise State, while Cyrus Habibi-Likio added 23 yards. Hank Bachmeier threw for 263 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Khalil Shakir and Stefan Cobbs had 91 and 63 yards respectively.

Boise State was outgained by UCF 573-283 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 29-17 by the Knights.

The time of possession battle favored UCF as their offense was on the field for 34:46, longer than the 25:14 of their opponents.

UCF heads into a Week 2 battle against Bethune-Cookman. Boise State, meanwhile, will have their next action against UTEP.
