New York Falls 3-2 to Hurricanes - Recap

Carolina skated to a 3-2 victory over New York on Saturday in NHL action at Scotiabank Arena.

Carolina won as a -123 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 6.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Carolina got goals from Martin Necas, Sebastian Aho, and Jaccob Slavin in the victory. Slavin opened the scoring at 1:01 of the first period.

Petr Mrazek stopped 24 of 26 New York shots in the victory.

Mika Zibanejad, and Marc Staal scored for the Rangers, finding the net behind Petr Mrazek.

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 34 of 37 shots for the Rangers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Carolina went 1-for-7, while the Rangers were 0-for-7 with the man advantage.

New York lost the shots on goal battle to Carolina by a margin of 37-26.
