North Texas Falls 35-26 to Flames - Recap

North Texas was unable to slow down CJ Daniels, who produced 135 receiving yards as the Flames defeated the Mean Green 35-26 on Saturday.

The Flames earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -21.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played PUSH the total of 61.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.

T.J Green rushed for 25 yards, while Joshua Mack added 16 yards in the win. CJ Daniels and Kevin Shaa added 135 and 55 receiving yards respectively.

Ayo Adeyi rushed for 99 yards for North Texas, while DeAndre Torrey added 73 yards. Austin Aune threw for 212 yards for the Mean Green, while receivers Damon Ward Jr. and Roderic Burns had 57 and 53 yards respectively.

Liberty lost the offensive yardage battle to North Texas 454-351 yards in Saturday's game. North Texas had more first downs as that total ended up 30-21.

The time of possession battle favored North Texas as their offense was on the field for 35:50, longer than the 24:10 of their opponents.

Next game, Liberty takes its act home to face Massachusetts looking for another win. For North Texas, they head on the road to face Rice.
