Clemson Tigers vs Syracuse Orange Wrap - Clemson Wins 17-14

The Orange came up short against the Tigers in Week 7 action on Friday, falling 17-14 at Carrier Dome.

The Tigers won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -13.0-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Kobe Pace rushed for 76 yards, while Phil Mafah added 30 yards in the win. Justyn Ross and Davis Allen added 51 and 49 receiving yards respectively.

Sean Tucker rushed for 157 yards for Syracuse, while Garrett Shrader added 6 yards. Garrett Shrader threw for 191 yards for the Orange, while receivers Trebor Pena and Courtney Jackson had 62 and 29 yards respectively.

Syracuse outgained Clemson 356-314 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-18 by the Tigers.

The time of possession battle favored Clemson as their offense was on the field for 32:59, longer than the 27:01 of their opponents.

Next game, Clemson takes its act on the road to face Pittsburgh looking for another win. For Syracuse, they head on the road to face Virginia Tech.
