Maryland Falls 66-17 to Buckeyes - Recap

C.J. Stroud sliced and diced the Terrapins defense for 406 yards as Ohio State handed Maryland a 66-17 defeat on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

The Buckeyes were a -22.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 71.5.

C.J. Stroud completed 24 of 33 pass attempts for 406 yards for the Buckeyes in the win.

Challen Faamatau rushed for 71 yards for Maryland, while Peny Boone added 41 yards. Taulia Tagovailoa threw for 279 yards for the Terrapins, while receivers Chigoziem Okonkwo and Rakim Jarrett had 56 and 43 yards respectively.

Maryland lost the offensive yardage battle to Ohio State 598-335 yards in Saturday's game. Ohio State had more first downs as that total ended up 29-22.

Maryland led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:44-25:16 split in that important category.

Ohio State heads into a Week 8 battle against Indiana. Maryland, meanwhile, will have their next action against Minnesota.
