Old Dominion Falls 20-13 to Thundering Herd - Recap

Marshall earned a 20-13 victory over Old Dominion on Saturday in Week 6 action at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

Marshall won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -21.0-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 62.0.

Rasheen Ali rushed for 77 yards, while Sheldon Evans added 12 yards in the win. Shadeed Ahmed and Corey Gammage added 77 and 69 receiving yards respectively.

Blake Watson rushed for 168 yards for Old Dominion, while D.J. Mack Jr. added 26 yards. D.J. Mack Jr. threw for 106 yards for the Monarchs, while receivers Ali Jennings III and Zack Kuntz had 33 and 23 yards respectively.

Old Dominion lost the offensive yardage battle to Marshall 390-314 yards in Saturday's game. Marshall had more first downs as that total ended up 24-19.

Marshall led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:04-29:56 split in that important category.

Marshall looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against North Texas. Old Dominion will aim to get back on the winning track vs. WKU.
