Bearcats vs Fighting Irish Final: 24-13 - Recap

Notre Dame was unable to slow down Alec Pierce, who produced 144 receiving yards as the Bearcats defeated the Fighting Irish 24-13 on Saturday.

Cincinnati was the ATS victor, as they covered the -2.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 50.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Jerome Ford rushed for 67 yards, while Desmond Ridder added 26 yards in the win. Alec Pierce and Leonard Taylor added 144 and 70 receiving yards respectively.

Kyren Williams rushed for 45 yards for Notre Dame, while Chris Tyree added 20 yards. Drew Pyne threw for 143 yards for the Fighting Irish, while receivers Michael Mayer and Braden Lenzy had 93 and 61 yards respectively.

Notre Dame lost the offensive yardage battle to Cincinnati 386-341 yards in Saturday's game. Notre Dame had more first downs as that total ended up 19-16.

Notre Dame led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:24-28:10 split in that important category.

Cincinnati heads into a 6 battle against Temple. Notre Dame, meanwhile, will have their next action against Virginia Tech.
