North Carolina Defeats Duke 38-7 - Recap

Sam Howell led the way with 321 passing yards on Saturday as the Tar Heels picked up a 38-7 victory over the Blue Devils at Kenan Memorial Stadium.

North Carolina was a favorite by -19.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 74.0.

Sam Howell completed 18 of 32 pass attempts for 321 yards for the Tar Heels in the win.

Mataeo Durant rushed for 114 yards for Duke, while Jordan Waters added 19 yards. Gunnar Holmberg threw for 184 yards for the Blue Devils, while receivers Jalon Calhoun and Jake Bobo had 103 and 45 yards respectively.

North Carolina outgained Duke 456-314 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-15 by the Tar Heels.

Duke lost the time of possession battle 32:42-27:18, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

North Carolina heads into a Week 6 battle against Florida State. Duke, meanwhile, will have their next action against Georgia Tech.
