Syracuse Falls 30-0 to Cardinals - Recap

Louisville dominated with defense on Friday, taking a 30-0 shutout win over Syracuse in Week 12 action at Cardinal Stadium.

The Cardinals were a -19.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 56.0.

Maurice Burkley rushed for 56 yards, while Jalen Mitchell added 46 yards in the win. Braden Smith and Dez Fitzpatrick added 65 and 60 receiving yards respectively.

Sean Tucker rushed for 93 yards for Syracuse, while Cooper Lutz added 12 yards. JaCobian Morgan threw for 40 yards for the Orange, while receivers Anthony Queeley and Taj Harris had 31 and 11 yards respectively.

Syracuse lost the offensive yardage battle to Louisville 413-137 yards in Friday's game. Louisville had more first downs as that total ended up 26-7.

Louisville led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 41:46-18:14 split in that important category.

Louisville heads into a Week 13 battle against Wake Forest. Syracuse, meanwhile, will have their next action against NC State.
