Houston Defeats Portland 132-108 - Recap

The battle between the Rockets and Trail Blazers didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Portland was handed a 132-108 defeat on Monday at Toyota Center.

Bettors who backed the Rockets were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -7.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 231.0.

Houston got 36 points from James Harden and another 28 points from Russell Westbrook. Russell Westbrook contributed 10 assists, while Clint Capela cleaned the glass with 20 rebounds.

The Trail Blazers got a 25-point performance from CJ McCollum, who was supported by 15 points from Skal Labissiere. Damian Lillard had 11 assists in a losing cause for Portland, while Hassan Whiteside grabbed 8 rebounds.

The Rockets hit the break winning 64-50 before taking care of business in the second half.

Houston had a 58-44 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Houston heads into a battle against the Nuggets. Portland, meanwhile, will have their next action against New Orleans.
